Ascend Fs10 you get a tank of a kayak and don’t have to pay top dollar. I took the fs10 out and had a blast. Good quality at an even better price. Looking at the options, you get a tank of a kayak and don’t have to pay top dollar.

I can not say how great this kayak, it’s just awesome! It’s the perfect tool for fishing where I can get to where the fish are. We used to hike for miles and still not quite reach that perfect fishing spot. Now, I simple paddle to where the fish are biting. The kayak has a wet bucket built in, plenty of space for my gear, it’s easy to handle, and best of all it puts me where I most want to be. I can not imagine fishing without this great kayak.
The seat is probably the weakest part of the design. It’s a thin pad that is “tacked down” by automotive style plastic push retainers/rivets. I typically step down into mine from a pontoon boat and if I step on the seat, inevitably, I end up having to spend some time pulling out the rivets, re-positioning the seat cushion, and tacking it back down because the cushion pulled through the heads of the cushion while I was getting in and situated.

A minor annoyance (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) but just something to be aware of. The longest I’ve been on it in one setting was about 3-4 hours and it was comfortable enough.
One modification I did make to mine was I ran some paracord between the forward and aft drain holes (on the inside) to act as a sort of clothes line so I can clip all my gear to it. That way when I tip my boat loading or unloading it, all my gear stays within reach of the seated position.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with the purchase and I’ll probably purchase another one for the kids in a year or two.
